When faced with the question of what to say in a last lecture situation, Randy Pausch wasn’t riddled with thoughts of “what wisdom would you impart on the world, if you knew it was your last chance?”

Despite being diagnosed with terminal cancer, Pausch’s last lecture at Carnegie Mellon was a beautiful account of enabling the dreams of others, overcoming obstacles, and seizing every moment; a story of living.

Tonight I finally decided to watch Dr. Randy Pausch’s last lecture after having read book The Last Lecture twice. This time I’ve walked away with something different than before:

“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out; the brick walls are there to give us the chance to show how badly we want something. The brick walls are there to stop people who don’t want it badly enough.”
